William Peace University camp offerings: Writing Music for the screen and Research in Stream Ecology The Wake Forest Summer Immersion Program is a hands-on learning experience. High school students dive deep into a career pathway or field of study with access to world-class faculty, researchers, and industry professionals.
Youth Legislative Assembly (YLA) is a mock legislative session where high school students voice their opinions and vote on issues concerning local, state and national government. The conference allows high school students an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the workings of local, state, and national government. Active participation in YLA increases the students' confidence and ability to debate current issues. Any high school student in good standing at a public, private, charter, or home school in North Carolina is eligible to participate in YLA. The camp will take place 100% online from June 21 – June 23, 2023. Campers will discover the science behind cosmetic products and take part in some hands-on fun! They will receive a camp kit with over $200 of giveaways, products, experiments, and more! Raffles and games for a chance to win even more swag and products will take place live during the camp! The Office of Undergraduate Admissions offers three different pre-college programs for high school students that focus on three key components: exposure to the college academic environment, preparation for the college application and financial aid process and establishment of a strong sense of community through peer engagement and near-peer mentorship. Our programs are geared toward first-generation and historically underrepresented students and have an emphasis on cultural programming during the on-campus component. This is a free two-day experience for rising juniors, seniors, and current seniors with an option to reside on campus for one night in an ECU residence hall. This event will offer information, experiences and resources about the teaching profession to help participants explore many of the wonderful aspects of being a Teacher. Campapalooza is a 5-day academic summer camp for rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors. They will live on campus, have their meals in the University cafeteria, and spend their days engaged in exciting academic activities with our University Faculty! Available camps include: Bridge to College, Crime Scene Investigation, Drawing History, and Horror Films, History, and Pop Culture. |
